PUPPIES

I’m very glad to meet you. It’s wonderful that you are interested in our puppies. If it is your first dog and you don’t know what to do and how to help your pet to adapt in your house we will be glad to help you and try to answer all your questions.

My advice.
You needn’t worry if you pet the first two days isn’t very jolly and his tail is not well up over the back. As soon as he adapt everything will be ok.

He knows a few orders but he can understand your intonation you may be sure his behavior will be good. In the yard hold him by the dog’s lead. He’ll understand what he must do there. But for the first time put a newspaper on the floor in your flat.
Remember these dogs have very strong hindquarters (hind legs). So be care full if you hold the dog in your hands it can jump very unexpectedly. If you hand puppy or put it on the floor hold it very strong. Don’t take it him like a cat holds him by the chest and the breech.
     

Lhasa’s hair (coat) grows all the time. As a result, all Lhasas require some sort of regular grooming regimen, even if the coat is kept short. Puppies should be brushed and combed about three times per week so that they become accustomed to being groomed. Never brush the coat dry. Always use some kind of conditioning spray prior to brushing. Begin from the ends of the coat and then move to the roots taking under coat. This breed needn’t special trimming, but sometimes you need to cut the coat as shown in the pictures. 1. Cut the coat on the body (the skirt) like dotted line shows.

So responsible breeders will provide detailed instruction on grooming and coat care when you pick up your puppy.

Eyes are dark brown, neither very large and full, nor very small and sunk. Having long hair near eyes but it is not a disease. Remove the coat from the eyes. Don’t use tea for cleaning eyes! Use dry cotton wad or with worm water. Comb puppy’s moustache from the parting down. Never cut and pull out hair from the puppy’s ears. Only remove grooving hair out of the ears. And you will them. Try to groom your puppy as often as possible and you will not have problems in future.

-Feeding.
The usual feed is (beef) meat (don’t use undercut) fender loin, boiled meat, meat with bone; liver, lights and other but not often; boiled fish without fat; eggs but only yolks - 2 time a week; milk, cheese, rise, buckwheat, vegetables.
Usually dogs need food rich in vitamins and microelements. You may feed your pet by dried meet or canned meet go this food must be of high and quality.
But REMEMBER:
NEVE give sugar and sweets; tabular (pipe) bones (boiled); sausages; pork; fresh river fish.
NEVER give fried food.
NEVER leave food in the bowl if your pet doesn’t eat it at once. Put the rest of the food in to the fridge.
Your god must always have the fresh water.
Lhasa apso is a very strong, healthy dog. So if you follow our advice, take care of your pet you will never have problems with its health.
